Prades challenges the trail elite again: 13,000 euros in prizes and a race that creates the future.
The event, which has already seen Gemma Arenas, Oihana Kortazar, Azara Garcia, Andreu Simón and Núria Gil win, will celebrate its fourth edition on November 7th and 8th and will allocate part of the registrations to the Marrameus de Prades children's project.
The Prades Mountains will once again become one of the great stages of trail running on November 7th and 8th , with the celebration of the fourth edition of the Prades Mountains Epic Trail Costa Daurada .
The race arrives this 2026 with four distances, a total of 13,000 euros in prizes , distributed equally between the female and male categories, and as the grand finale of UNITTRAIL , the national circuit made up of nine events.
In just three editions, the race has managed to build a roster of honor with some of the most recognized names in trail running. Female runners such as Gemma Arenas, Oihana Kortazar, Azara Garcia, Anna Tarasova or Núria Gil , and male runners such as Andreu Simón, Julen Calvó, Alexandre Major, Miguel Arsenio or Jan Torrella , have already climbed to the top of the podium in Prades.
A history that consolidates the event as an event capable of attracting top-level athletes and that anticipates a fourth edition with high competitiveness, especially at the 50K and 25K distances, with financial prizes for the top five overall finishers.
Four ways to experience the Prades Mountains
The sports program will be distributed throughout the weekend:
50K CDF – Cingleres de la Febró: Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 a.m.
25K EDA – Ermita de l'Abellera: Saturday 7 November at 9.30am.
13K TDB – Tossal de la Baltasana: Sunday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m.
7K Kids CDB – Coll del Bosc: Sunday, November 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Four routes that allow you to discover some of the most emblematic places in the Prades Mountains and that open up participation to both experienced runners and young people and people who want to start mountain racing.
MARRAMEUS.A race that leaves its mark throughout the year
Beyond the competition, the Muntanyes de Prades Epic Trail Costa Daurada wants to generate a positive and permanent impact on the territory through the Marrameus de Prades project .
Part of the registrations goes to finance, together with the Prades City Council and the Birimbins de Prades Hiking Association, a free trail school for all children enrolled in the ZER Prades , from Prades, Capafonts and La Febró.
Throughout the school year, children can practice physical activity, discover the paths, rivers, valleys and natural spaces in their surroundings, learn about their history and learn to love, respect and care for the territory where they live.
"We want to bring top-level runners to the Prades Mountains, but we also want the race to be useful for the people who live there. Marrameus allows the effort of a weekend to become sport, knowledge and opportunities for the children of the territory throughout the year. This is our most important podium," the organization points out.
With this initiative, each bib goes beyond sports participation and directly contributes to keeping sport, the mountains and the identity of the towns of the Prades Mountains alive.
Registrations open
Registrations for all four distances are now open. The next price change will occur on September 21st.
